Sludge dewatering and effluent fluccolation

Traditional preparation of liquid polymer is done through flow-integrated dosing systems based on an electric pump (peristaltic pump, diaphragm pump). With sometimes also mixers and other options.

Dosatron’s non-electric proportional dosing pumps integrate reliable dosing and mixing in an efficient and compact technology. It works at any water flow rate and pressure.

Recommendations:

  • Check the viscosity indicated in the VIB of the polymer.
  • Keep the Dosatron’s suction hose as short as possible to limit the influence of viscosity on dosing.
  • To improve homogeneity, a Dosatron dynamic mixer can be installed after the pump (max water flow rate: 2.5 m3/h).
  • A maturation tank may be required after the Dosatron, especially for anionic polymers (check with the polymer supplier).
  • Protect the polymer from temperature fluctuations.
  • For unstable polymers (especially anionic polymers), an electric stirrer can be placed in the vessel containing liquid polymer.
  • Adjust the water flow rate and polymer dosage on the Dosatron to optimise polymer efficiency.

Each Dosatron is self-priming. Manual venting is possible.
