Dosatron is part of installations for hygiene in the food industry; we equip foam systems that are centralised for hygiene, or simple installations for cleaning and disinfection.

Dosatron ensures the reliability of dosing in the line thanks to its proportionality that is not sensitive to pressure and water flow variations.

In the food production industry, Dosatron are divided into two types based on their application, centralised systems or simple plant. Centralised systems use a water flow rate and pressure that vary depending on the desired dosage, while simple installations can have one fixed pressure and a constant water flow.

Dosatron is used in hygiene applications such as disinfecting equipment, washing machines, cooling towers and more, for example to prevent cross-contamination. Dosatron dosing pump can dose acidic and alkaline chemicals from PH 0 to PH 14. The wide dosing range of 0.03 to 25% allows the final concentration to be adjusted as expected.

Which cleaning method in the food industry?
In the food industry, cleaning refers to the process of removing food residues, dirt and other contaminants from food processing equipment, surfaces and facilities.

Cleaning is an important aspect of food safety and quality, as it helps prevent the spread of bacteria and other contaminants that can cause food-borne illness or spoilage.

Dosatron, a part of sanitary equipment

Various cleaning methods are used in the food industry, including:

  • Chemical cleaning: this uses chemicals such as caustic soda, acids or disinfectants to clean equipment and kill bacteria.
    This method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the right method depends on the type of equipment being cleaned, the type of contaminants present and the desired level of cleanliness.
  • Degreasing. It is a chemical process that removes oil, grease and other contaminants from all parts to be cleaned. The equipment is then rinsed and dried to achieve the expected level of cleanliness.

The high temperature of the water helps this process to remove hard-to-remove contaminants, in the same processing time.

What equipment is used in industrial cleaning?
There are many different types of equipment used in industrial cleaning, depending on the specific needs of the facility and the type of cleaning being carried out. Some common types of equipment that can be used in industrial cleaning are:

  • Pressure washers: These are high-pressure cleaning systems that use a stream of water to remove dirt and contaminants from surfaces.
  • Scrubbers : These are cleaning machines that use a combination of water, detergent and brushes to scrub and clean surfaces.

Dosatron can be used in all steps of the hygiene process for the food processing industry. Degreaser, detergent with foam system based on an alkaline solution compatible with Dosatron thanks to its large choice of seals and plastic. Flushing due to its bypass is available as an option. Disinfection system based on an acid solution compatible with Dosatron thanks to its large choice of seals and plastic. Dosatron’s products can be used in different steps of the hygiene process in the food processing industry, but it is important to note that the specific use of each product depends on the specific needs and requirements of the facility.

Dosatron is a manufacturer of dosing systems, which are used to accurately dose liquid chemicals such as detergents, disinfectants and sanitisers. These products can potentially be used at various stages of the hygiene process in a food processing plant, such as when cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces prior to surgery, or when cleaning and disinfecting production areas. Dosatron developed a high-quality dosing pump that can work with water temperatures up to 70°C / 158°F. The temperature of the hot water improves the cleaning process of greasy surfaces. The increase in water temperature lowers the surface tension of the water. This makes it possible to save water and chemicals (cleaning products) compared to the same process with cold water. The savings are also significant for wastewater treatment. Thanks to the dosing range of 0.03 to 10%, this pump can be used in all processes in the food hygiene industry.
